JESSICA JEZA

Jessica is an Ottawa-based litigation lawyer with a focused practice in trademark and copyright law, estate litigation, and commercial litigation. She provides strategic legal representation to individuals, businesses, and creative professionals seeking to protect their intellectual property, resolve estate disputes, or enforce their contractual rights.

Jessica earned her law degree from the University of Ottawa, with specialized options in Technology Law and Environmental Law. During law school, she contributed to policy work with CIPPIC, PIAC, and Ecojustice, and co-authored a paper in collaboration with Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society examining intermediary liability under the USMCA.

With over a decade of experience across boutique and national law firms, Jessica brings a detail-oriented, strategic approach to legal work. She has contributed to litigation at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada, as well as before several administrative tribunals such as the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. 

She is known for her strong research, clear writing, and ability to manage complex files through various stages of litigation, from initial pleadings to appeals to enforcement.

Her approach combines legal precision with a practical mindset, supported by the use of technology to deliver efficient, cost-effective service. Whether protecting a brand, resolving an estate conflict, or representing a business’ interest, Jessica provides responsive, thoughtful representation tailored to her clients’ goals.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys video games, hiking with her dog Lady, traveling, and diving into podcasts on branding, legal tech, and economics. She recently welcomed her first baby girl last May and is embracing the new challenges and joy of becoming a mom.
