Lauren completed her undergraduate degree in International Development and Globalization at the University of Ottawa before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s English Common Law section in 2025. During law school, she developed a strong interest in civil litigation and client advocacy through a broad range of coursework and practical experiences, including participation in various moots.
Prior to joining Simmonds Law, Lauren summered and articled with a full-service civil litigation firm in downtown Ottawa. During that time, she gained experience in a variety of practice areas, including insurance defence, employment, construction, and professional liability. Lauren has been actively involved in proceedings before the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice, including the Divisional Court, and various administrative tribunals. She has worked on files originating in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia.
Lauren is committed to a client-focused approach grounded in clear communication, thoughtful advocacy, and practical solutions. She prioritizes responsiveness, detailed drafting, and keeping clients informed throughout every stage of the litigation process.
Lauren was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2026 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
Outside of her practice, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and travelling.
